Pediatric Dentistry
Pediatric dentistry radically differs from other branches of dentistry.
The most common oral cavity health issues in pediatric practice are dental caries and its complications. It is crucial to be very diligent, as complications arising during the primary (deciduous) and mixed stages of teething can affect permanent teeth, leading to caries in erupting teeth and the development of incorrect occlusion. Children should have a dental visit every 6 months. It is very important to maintain good oral hygiene so that children learn to care for their teeth from an early age to avoid future complications.
